People360 is privileged to have witnessed one of the largest gatherings of empowered women for Go Negosyo’s 10th NEGOSYO FILIPINA Entrepreneurial Summit on March 6, 2018. Centered on reinforcing the entrepreneurial nature of the Filipino, particularly Filipinas and recognizing their capacity and significance to the business world, it also aims to provide inspiration and support for emerging and aspiring entrepreneurs. Covering different aspects of the business and empowering topics, the summit is divided by 5 forums discussing essentials to establish a successful venture, namely: Mentorship, Expanding your Market, Financing your Business, Disruptions and Innovations, Doing Business the Millenial Way. Each forum was highlighted by prominent female personalities and industry experts sharing their humble beginnings to expanding their ventures, and empowering all delegates and students in attendance that they, too can succeed if they pursue their passion and learn the business aspects. Among the known personalities present for the forums were Tessie Sy-Coson of SM, Anne Curtis of BLK cosmetics, Georgina Wilson of Sunnies, Rissa Mananquil of Happy Skin, Natividad Cheng of Uratex, and Vicky Belo. Business owners and executives of popular brands such as Lazada, Zalora, Messy Bessy, among others took the time to impart their knowledge and business insights.

The event coincided with Women’s Month in March. With the vision of Presidential Consultant for Entrepreneurship Mr. Joey Concepcion, Go Negosyo was founded in 2005. Since its conception, Go Negosyo went on to forge partnerships not only with business corporations and entrepreneurs but also with academic institutions, non-government organizations (including business chambers and professional organizations), microfinance institutions, government agencies, and local government units. Go Negosyo hopes to demystify entrepreneurial success and popularize entrepreneurship as an alternative to unemployment, job-seeking or migration.

The summit was welcomed by Concepcion, followed by the formidable and well-known women’s advocate Sen. Grace Poe giving the opening speech. The event culminated with the presence and closing speech of the Philippine president, President Rodrigo Duterte. His presence not only shows his support for the cause of the organization but also his support for the Filipino entrepreneurship.

In attendance for the occasion were People360’s Business Development and IT Department Mr. Justin Paul Dumayag and Ms. Abby Gragasin, and Marketing Manager Ms. Evelyn Barbin.
