What is Work Environment Measurement, and why is it important? Work Environment Measurement, also known as WEM, refers to the sampling and analysis carried out in respect of the atmospheric working environment and other fundamental elements of the work environment to determine actual conditions. These should be identified to prevent hazards in the workplace, which could cause sickness and impaired health to workers.
As mandated by DOLE through DO 160 Series of 2016, only accredited WEM providers are authorized to perform WEM services in the workplace.
